Parents' Association

St. Brigid's has a very active Parents Association and we are grateful for their continued help and assistance. During your child's time in St. Brigid's we would ask that you offer your support by your attendance at their functions or by volunteering for the committee.

All parents are considered members of the Parent's Association. However, the parents of the children who are in 1st class are members of what is called the Parent's Association Committee. They are:

Chairperson: Lorraine Kelly, Secretary: Shauna Bradley, Treasurer: Teresa Anne Boyle

Members: Síobhan McCauley, Sínead Cunningham, Kathleen Doherty, Carmel McDaid

They support the school by having meetings with the principal, organising fundraising events, organising treats for the children (e.g. Santa's visit, Sports Day etc.), having an input into new policies and organising tea/refreshments at school events.

In order for us to go from strength to strength it is important that new parents become involved with the Parent's Association. New ideas are always welcome and it is a great way of meeting new people. Meetings are held in the school about once a month. The annual AGM is held in Sept/Oct.
