Active School Week

Our school participated in the European Week of Sport (September 22nd - 30th 2018). We encouraged all our pupils and staff to #BeActive and we took on the Tour of Europe Challenge. Every lap of the pitch was equal to 1km so each class decided on a European landmark that we would like to visit and we got running! The week also saw the students participate in a variety of activities within the classroom and beyond. These activities included 10 at 10, Go Noodle, Drop everything and Run, Bizzybreaks and much more. The highlight of the week was on Thursday 27th September where each class participated in the 'Take on the Teachers Challenge'. The following was the schedule for the take on the teachers. Each class got the chance to challenge the staff in the following activities;

Junior and Senior Infants - Hula Hooping and balancing activities

First class - Obstacle Course

Thirds class - Beanbags and Hoops

Fourth class - Relay Race

Fifth class - Longest Plank and Penalty Shoot-outs

Sixth class - 5 -Aside football match and Basketball Hoops

What a fun day was had by all! Congratulations to our students on winning the challenge!!
