Home Learning Activities

We received a great variety of photos showing the children taking part in many different activities in their home environment. Between celebrating birthdays, feeding lambs, creating art, exercising, playing outside and working hard on learning activities, we are all doing our best and having fun. Thank you so so much to all of you who sent in photos of your child(ren) in your home classroom. We are very impressed with the selection of activities and learning taking place. Well done everybody. It really helps to lift all our spirits to see all those smiling faces. Keep them coming!

A Poem from Home

Anyone with kids will know what I mean,

Yes, it’s true, it’s not a dream!

Trying to teach them, how will we manage?

I can tell you one thing now, it will be a challenge!

Google meet is what I hear,

It is ringing now in my ear.

Log-on, emails and all that stuff,

It has got me quite out of puff!

“It’s Instagram mum, can’t you tell?”

There’s even an app on how to spell

“Mum!” they call, “have you any treats?”

Yes, go grab one while I soak my feet.

Facebook, Tik-Tok, Twitter too,

Quite frankly, I haven’t a clue.

“Ask your eight year old” said hubby one day,

By God, you know, he wasn’t far away!

Board games, puzzles, baking too,

OMG hasn’t this day flew?

Making memories, spending time,

It will all fly by in quarantine.

So if you feel in crisis, and your head is going to bust,

In a few years from now, we will say “What was all the fuss?”

Cuddle your kids, a little tighter each day,

‘Cause hopefully soon, this virus will go away.
